Mathias Lüscher (*1994) is a Swiss visual artist working at the intersection of painting and sculpture. His artistic practice explores the relationship between humanity, artificial materials, and technology. His works create speculative realities that reflect on the material traces of our time – from fossil remains to the technological fantasies of future worlds. Materials become carriers of tension, memory, and malleability. Through processes of cutting, heating, and scratching, he investigates states of matter, transitions, and ruptures, revealing the myth of cyclical transformation embedded within the material itself.
